Newburgh Acupuncture Project is excited to welcome Sound Practitioner Katie Down, to offer a combined experience of sound meditation and acupuncture.
Focusing on specific points, using essential oils, breath, and listening, our senses will be opened and engaged with a gentle approach facilitating a deep mind-body connection. Alternatives are available for those not wanting acupuncture during the experience.
This type of combined treatment can help with the regulation of stress, enabling a relaxation response in the central nervous system using points and vibration to open the meridians and enable qi flow.
Instruments Katie will use include Alchemy crystal bowls, tuning forks, monochords, shruti box, and other drone-based instruments for optimal relaxation and recuperation.
